You are a child in a family that sadistically abuses.
You are forced to torture and destroy.
What should you do now as an adult?
Do you forgive your parents?
How do you forgive yourself?

As a child, Einhorn, who is a recipient of the "Heroine of Forgiveness, Reconciliation, and Peace Award" - an honor which she shares along with Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, and Bishop Desmond Tutu - was forced by her parents (now deceased) to hurt or kill live animals, perform torturous acts upon her sister, have sadistic acts performed upon herself, and endure years of physical and sexual child abuse.

With no desire to forgive her mother or father, Einhorn sent the question above to people whom she considered to be her personal heroes, and then expanded to include others from all walks of life.

Replies, which varied greatly, included:

• Ed Asner, actor and activist: "I am glad you don't forgive your parents."
• Patch Adams, celebrity and physician: "There is no future without forgiveness."
• Thomas Eagleton, former U.S. Senator, Vice-Presidential nominee: "My initial response to your letter was that you were a 'kook'."
• Robert Muller, co-founder, United Nations: "I urge you to forgive your parents."
• Dr. Richard Vatz, political commentator, frequently on CNN, "Crossfire" and "Larry King Live:" "It would be impossible for me to forgive those who affected the sadistic abuse."
• Dr. Albert Ellis, founder, Rational-Emotive Therapy: "If I were abused as a child and forced to torture and abuse others, I would still unconditionally accept myself and my family members who tortured me."

Numerous respondents drew comparisons to Hitler and Nazi Germany, including Daniel Quinn, author of "Ishmael," who said, "If for some reason your parents deserve forgiveness, then they deserve it not only from you, but from all humanity, for their crimes were crimes against humanity, as surely as were the crimes of Josef Mengle or Adolf Eichmann."

Rabbi Steven L. Jacobs, child of a Holocaust survivor and professor at the University of Alabama, replied: "…that your parents died without having confronted their own crimes, like far too many of the Nazis before them, proves them guilty of their crimes and worthy of condemnation.

But not all comparisons to Nazi Germany yielded such sympathetic responses. The most controversial reply came from Arun Gandhi, grandson of the late Mahatma Gandhi, and founder of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, who said, "Most Jews have not forgiven the Nazis for the holocaust… It is this inability of the Jews to forgive and heal that leads to their excessive violence towards the Palestinians."

Determined not to censor, edit, or delete any responses, Einhorn, who is of Jewish descent, gasped at the reply but allowed Gandhi, as well as every other respondent, to voice their opinions, regardless of whether or not she agreed.

Equally challenging for the Professor of Communication at Binghamton's State University of New York was a response from Rev. Bernard... To read the press release in full goto http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/1/prweb491361.htm

San Ramon, CA (PRWeb) December 14, 2006 -- While the number of divorces in the United States zooms higher than the amount of votes cast for a singer on American Idol, the myth of the happily-ever-after marriage may be nothing more than mere fairy dust. However, with guidance from divorce expert, Lorena Bathey, women who now find themselves back in the singles lane can experience a quicker and healthier path to a more fulfilling life with the help of a new kind of "fairy godmother."

When Bathey, who is the author of "Happy Beginnings: How to Become Your Own Fairy Godmother," (Scepter Press) was informed by her husband of 11 years that he was pulling the plug on their marriage, she was stunned. Although her marriage had never been the stuff fairy tales are made of, says Bathey, "I would have preferred to be like most married couples; sometimes loving my husband and sometimes wanting to run him over with my car."

Eventually, Bathey created her own happily-ever-after story, and in the process, discovered that she had mastered the keys to help other women heal from the ravages of divorce, turn their lives around, and boldly go on to live their dreams.

Bathey describes the initial three levels of grief common to women in the first few months of their divorce as:

a.) "Get me alcohol quick;"
b.) "I don't need a man," and,
c.) "I'm a loser who will be living alone with many cats."

After moving beyond these levels, she concludes that three new phases take center stage in a divorced woman's life:

1) A selfish phase, in which one tries to find a replacement boyfriend so as to not feel more pain;

2) A self-help phase in which one lives in the psychology section of Borders and Barnes and Noble, and reads every book about recovering from a divorce; and

3) A self-empowerment phase, in which a woman becomes her own advocate -- or "fairy godmother."

Says Bathey, "When a divorce occurs, a woman is shell-shocked. Even if she is highly accomplished, she feels like a victim and she loses her sense of self-esteem. For example, look at Uma Thurman, who is one of the most gorgeous women in the world. When Ethan Hawkes left her, she said she no longer felt any sense of confidence in herself."

"When a woman feels like a victim, someone is draining her power away," continues Bathey, referencing the thousands of ex-husbands who intimately know how to push their former spouse's buttons. To call back one's power, she encourages women to say "no," as in:

"No. I do not accept that."
"No, you may not speak to me that way."
"No, you don't get to know why I'm going there."
"No, you don't get to know why I'm choosing to do x, y, and z."

For those who need a personal power boost, Bathey also offers "Fairy Godmother in Training" workshops, which are especially handy when an ex-husband throws the "you're-a-bad-mother" card or when dealing with any other equally challenging or stressful situation.

So, how does one become her own fairy godmother? According to Bathey, Fairy Godmothers in Training begin by visualizing the presence of a special fairy godmother who embodies all of the attributes they wished they possessed. At first, one's fairy godmother is seen as a being outside of oneself. However, as each woman learns how to take her power back and strengthens emotionally, she...
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 11, 2006 -- Over 25 years have passed since Harry Chapin wrote, “The Cat’s in the Cradle,” his famous song about fathers who had no time for their children. While the song tugged deeply at the heartstrings of parents and children alike, close to three decades later, nearly 80% of all women are still waiting for their fathers to show up in their lives in some meaningful way.

According to Joe Cucchiara, the author of “What All Little Girls Need & What Most Women Never Had…Healthy, Loving Relationships With Their Fathers,” the role of a father cannot be underestimated. “Without a father’s loving guidance, girls have a greater chance to grow up with low self-esteem and self worth, make poor choices when it comes to choosing men, hate their bodies, and often develop eating disorders,” warns Cucchiara. “Fathers must prioritize their daughters if they want them to become successful, happy, confident, loving, good people with high self-esteem.”

After the birth of his second daughter, Stephanie, Cucchiara, who is the father of two girls, observed that none of the women in his extended family and circle of friends had a positive relationship with their fathers while growing up. While some of the fathers were alcoholics or abusive, others were disinterested, or simply hardworking and uninvolved in their daughters’ lives.

As adults, most of these women were on their second or third marriage, and had married a man who was an alcoholic, abusive, uninvolved, or who disrespected women just as their father had. Additionally, most struggled financially and seemed to lack focus and confidence when it came to creating a career.

Vowing to break this chain of failed relationships and dismal outcomes, Cucchiara says, “I wanted to make sure that my daughters would be raised differently and that I would be a participating father in their lives.” To build a healthy, loving relationship with his daughters, he made a commitment to prioritize his family above all else and spend time with his daughters everyday.

To foster this commitment, Cucchiara changed professions, which allowed him more flexibility in his schedule. He then jumped into the process of bathing, feeding, and diaper-changing his girls, as well as taking them on walks, playing and singing with them, and getting involved in their preschool. The result? As they now enter their teens, he speaks of a deep and loving bond with his two girls, who he describes as happy, confident and loving, good people.

For dads who want to learn the keys to building stronger father-daughter bonds to create higher self-esteem in their daughters, Cucchiara offers the following 7 tips:

1. Spend time playing with your young daughter. It’s the number one way to bond with your daughter and build your early relationship. Simple activities, such as playing with blocks, throwing a ball, rolling around on a rug, or playing hide-and-seek teaches your daughter that you care about her. At that age, all she wants to know is that her father loves her enough to play with her.

2. Listen to your daughter and honor her requests. As parents, we often think we have the right answers. We can easily overpower a daughter’s requests. Your daughter might want to play baseball, golf or a musical instrument, etc. Although you might not want her to, listen and respect... <itunes:summary>San Jose, CA (PRWEB) October 11, 2006 -- Over 25 years have passed since Harry Chapin wrote, “The Cat’s in the Cradle,” his famous song about fathers who had no time for their children.

Nowadays, with moms, dads and teens all living their lives in fast forward, family mealtimes often give way to fast foods, TV dinners, and meals where teenagers and their parents do not eat together. Although we may no longer live in a “Leave it to Beaver” or “Donna Reed” world, food and lifestyle expert, Lauren Groveman, who is frequently seen on MSNBC and who is the host / producer of the James Beard, award-winning talk-show, “Food, Family & Home 'Matters' with Lauren Groveman,” explains why it is imperative that we get the family back to the dinner table. Her new website, www.laurengroveman.com fully exemplifies her philosophy.

Says Groveman, “A study was conducted by The National Center on Addition and Substance Abuse at Columbia University and it was discovered that children who ate dinner with their families were less likely to smoke, drink or use drugs. The study compared teens who had five or more family dinners per week with teens who had two or less dinners with their family per week. The teenagers who ate less dinners with their families were three times more likely to try marijuana; two-and-a-half times likelier to smoke cigarettes; and more than one-and-a-half times more likely to drink alcohol. The study also showed that teens who had five or more dinners a week with their parents experienced lower levels of stress and felt as though they could go to one or both of their parents to talk over serious problems. Their conclusion was that, in order to raise healthy kids, we’ve got to get the family back to the dinner table.”

Groveman, who is the author of two highly-acclaimed cookbooks, “Lauren Groveman's Kitchen: Nurturing Food for Family and Friends” and “The ‘I Love to Cook’ Book: Rediscovering the Joy of Cooking for Family and Friends,” encourages families to make it a priority to gather with their loved ones around a dinner table for regular “moments of togetherness” -- whether that be once a week or once a month.

Key to Groveman’s family bonding strategy involves understanding the difference between eating a meal and feeling nurtured when eating a meal. “Real home cooking can bring a family together and inject a healing calm into even the most hectic household,” she says. “If you take pre-prepared food and put it on a platter, you are telling your family to ‘eat.’ However, if you sit down together at a candlelit table after a chicken has been roasting or some onions have been sautéing, you are encouraging your family to ‘relax and breathe’.

Groveman further explains that “breathing feeds every part of us (not just our stomachs) and helps us become fully restored. “When we feel restored on every level of our being, we are better able to achieve a balance between our commitments outside the home, and what we want to do for, and with, our families.”

For moms and dads who would like to learn how to bring their teens back to the table, Groveman, whose recipes have been featured in “The New York Times,” “The Daily News,” “Newsday,” “Bon Appétit,” “Food & Wine,” “Victoria,” “Better Homes & Gardens,” “Modern Bride,” “Brides,” “Lightstyle” and “Fine Cooking Magazine,” teaches non-vocational...
Memphis, TN (PRWEB) September 19, 2006 -- According to Daniel Katz, Vice President of Operations for Settlements for Life, senior citizens who are contemplating cashing in their life insurance policies could receive 5 times or more than the cash value of their policy by not cashing that policy in at its current cash surrender value. Instead, by using a reputable life settlement brokerage firm, a buyer can be found to purchase that policy and take over the payments on it. While the buyer ultimately reaps the larger financial benefit at the time of that person’s passing, the individual receives a lump sum payment for that policy that is typically substantially higher than the policy’s current cash surrender value.”

Here’s how it works: A life settlement is the sale of a life insurance policy, whereby, the owner of the policy receives more than the cash surrender value of the policy. After an application is submitted by an individual, medical and insurance carrier information is gathered to help evaluate whether an existing policy might be attractive to a buyer who invests in this kind of product. To qualify, individuals must be age 65 or older and the policy must have a death benefit of at least $250,000. Once it is determined that the policy is worthy of purchase, a life settlement firm sends the policy to companies who are buyers in the marketplace. After the sale is made, the buyer will continue to make the premium payments for as long as that individual lives.

“This is a previously untapped asset that most elderly people don’t even know they have,” says Katz, who has helped scores of individuals to get extended cash value for their policies. For example, Bill Johnson (name changed to maintain confidentiality), was 82 years old, in good health, and still working. With premiums of $80,000 a year, his estate planning attorney advised him to sell his policy. “Surrendering that policy for the cash value would have netted Bill $105,613. However, by selling his policy to an interested buyer, we got Bill $515,000 for his $1.5 million policy,” says Katz.

Selling a life insurance policy can be an ideal solution for seniors who want to:

• Fund a retirement
• Pay for a child’s education
• Pay off credit cards or get out of debt
• Eliminate a policy that is not performing well or which is no longer needed
• Cover medical bills for eldercare, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities
• Buy a better life insurance policy with a guaranteed death benefit

While buyers only buy permanent insurance products, such as “whole life” or “universal life” insurance, “term policies” can often be converted into permanent policies, then sold to a buyer, depending on various circumstances. “Day after day, we speak to people whose term policies have just lapsed,” says Katz. “They let them lapse because they have no cash value; they only provide a death benefit. They had no idea we might have been able to sell that million dollar policy for $300,000 or $400,000.”

In addition to working with individuals who have policies, life settlement brokers, such as Settlements For Life, also work with insurance agents, financial advisors, CPAs and attorneys who are looking out for the best interests of their elderly clients. “As a broker, it’s our responsibility to represent and look out for the best interest of the seller of the policy,” says...
Menlo Park, CA (PRWEB) August 15, 2006 -- While Hurricane Katrina may have long since blown over, the need for emotional healing continues for those who survived this country’s largest natural disaster. With thousands of people forced to relocate into new environments within unfamiliar communities, and others returning to their homes only to find their friends and social structures long gone, many survivors continue to feel isolated, depressed, and alone in their struggle to rebuild their lives.

August 29 marks the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Transitions Expert, Dr. Carol McClelland, cautions anyone who was directly involved in Hurricane Katrina – from the survivors, to their friends and relatives, to the rescue workers and the media – to be on the lookout for what psychologists call, “The Anniversary Reaction.”

The Anniversary Reaction refers to a process whereby a specific date, time, or environment triggers an individual to revisit any emotions that were put on “pause” while he or she was in survival mode. Although the crisis may have passed, the body retains the emotional memories that were never expressed and that still need to be released. Any big storm or hurricane can trigger the Anniversary Reaction in an individual – especially a major event like Katrina.

Emotionally, individuals may experience a feeling of dread or uneasiness, to feeling “out of it,” to feeling anger, frustration, fear, terror or overwhelm. An individual also might feel jumpy, find it hard to take action, be overly worried about personal safety, or obsess about his or her mortality.

Physical feelings might include: low energy, illness, panic attacks, addictions, trouble breathing, and stomach aches and headaches, as well as sensory memories related to sights and sounds. Mentally, one’s memory might be foggy or nightmares might occur.

Psychologically, one might feel hopeless, depressed, or experience tension within a family or relationship. Spiritually, questions may emerge around one’s faith or world view. The ability to perform at work can also be affected.

Hurricane Katrina handed its survivors multiple losses – from loved ones, to family pets, to homes and a lifetime of belongings, to the disbanding of social networks, communities, and life as it was known to be. Below are 8 tips for those who found themselves at the mercy of Hurricane Katrina:

Tips for Handling the 1-Year Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina

1. Decide ahead of time how you want to spend this anniversary day and choose a point of focus: Do you want to be alone? With family or friends? In a church or community setting? Do you want to focus on what you’ve lost? Something positive you’ve gained? The relationships that are now in your life?

2. Create a simple ritual: Light a candle, hold a moment of silence, or sing in a circle. Expect tears to fall. Recognize that a tearful celebration is healing.

3. Tell your story: Find someone who is willing to listen and tell the part of your story that you are now ready to tell. Each time you tell your story, you will obtain greater clarity and new insights might emerge.

4. Practice self-care and nurture yourself on a daily basis: Relax with a cup of tea or watch a sunset. Be compassionate with yourself for not being able to get everything on your to-do list done. Eat, sleep and rest, and do some kind of movement. If you are not up to a full workout, stretch a little while you... If you are a single person with an uncanny ability to choose the least available person in a room, or want to release that giant force field that is surrounding you and pushing love away, tune in as Vaishali and Randy Peyser bring new hope, and hilarious insight, to single people whose love life is trickling slower than an intravenous drip.

Demonstrating how to turn on the “love faucet,” Peyser will share her personal story about how she found her “happily-ever-after.” In brief, following a seven year drought of intentional singlehood, she went on a quest to find her soulmate.

Having made a list of qualities she wanted in a partner, she carefully tacked the list up over her bed in anticipation of attracting her beloved. When six months passed with no love light blinking on the horizon, she declared, “I’m ripe for a relationship.” When yet another few months passed, she declared, “I’m so ripe, I’m fermenting.”

Eventually, she ripped her list off the bedroom wall and threw it away, thoroughly disgusted. Deciding to approach the whole relationship bugaboo differently, Peyser then asked herself a series of questions, the answers of which opened the doors for a real love to come her way.

She now lives with her sweetheart of five years, (and their two cats who are in couples counseling because they still refuse to bond.)

Much of Peyser’s work is featured in a new book called, “The Marriage of Sex and Spirit,” (Elite Press) which includes her interviews with best selling authors’ and relationship experts,’ John Gray and Deepak Chopra.

Additionally, Peyser, who is the author of “Crappy to Happy: Small Steps to Big Happiness NOW!” and the upcoming book, “The Power of Miracle Thinking,” has interviewed scores of people who have created loving relationships out of the ashes of their lives.

She will share vital information that will blow the socks off of anyone who is having a pity-party over the state of their love life.

Listen to “You Are What You Love” on Contact Talk Radio, [http://www.contacttalkradio.com/hosts/vaishali.htm Friday, August 4, 1pm, PST, as Vaishali and Randy Peyser share the techniques they have each discovered that lead to attracting one’s soulmate.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) July 18, 2006 -- If your phone suddenly weighs 300 pounds the minute you pick it up to make a marketing call, or you attend a networking event and talk about the dinner or the weather, rather than making those all-important connections with potential clients, it’s pretty obvious that you hate to market or perform the kind of traditional tasks that most successful entrepreneurs use to bring in more business.

Perhaps it’s because you don’t want to come across as being a pushy, in-your-face, sales person, or maybe you just don’t feel comfortable talking about yourself. Then again, you might feel intimidated by a crowd of new people, or simply not know what to say.

Whatever the reason, here’s the good news: You can accomplish more by being yourself than by stretching beyond your comfort zone and pushing yourself to do what you really don’t want to be doing.

Consider this example: About six years ago, Beth Woodward left corporate America to start her own Professional Life Coaching business. With a background of 11 years in corporate communications, it seemed like a no-brainer for her to start her own business. However, even though she had years of communication skills training, the minute it came to making those marketing calls or going to networking meetings, she smacked right into a wall of her own resistance, or what she calls, “getting in the way of yourself.”

Fortunately, because she was a creative, out-of-the-box kind of thinker, she knew there just had to be a better way to make the whole marketing piece of her business come alive, and it became her new challenge to discover what this fun, and more “comfortable,” new way of marketing might be.

In the process, Beth not only accomplished her goal of finding a fun way to market her business, but she also discovered that she didn’t necessarily have to go the traditional route of taking out advertising in newspapers or magazines, or making appearances at networking events, or becoming a speaker if it didn’t fit with who she was. In fact, her new way of understanding the marketing component was so exciting and fun to her that she let go of the Professional Life Coaching business to launch her own marketing company, called Marketing On The Playground™ http://www.marketingontheplayground.com.

Talk about a 180-degree turn-around! She went from hating marketing to creating a marketing business in which she began to teach others how to discover their own inner marketer.

What Beth discovered is that, when it comes to marketing, there is no one-size-fits-all; there is no one way to market oneself, or one’s services or products that is right for everybody. However, Beth further discovered that there is one critical component that is key to any business person’s marketing success. This key involves finding the form of marketing where entrepreneurs feel the most at ease, versus pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and struggling with the “I should’s,” as in, “I should make phone calls,” or “I should push myself to go to that networking event that I really don’t want to go to.” By focusing on one’s passions and strengths, and by incorporating one’s best learning style, the form of marketing that comes most naturally to an entrepreneur can be found.

Let’s face it, some of us do well in large group situations, while others of us enjoy more intimate one-on-one interactions. If you are a... To read the press release in full goto http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/7/prweb410389.htm

No subject is off limits on the new spiritual radio show, “You Are What You Love,” as radio host and author, Vaishali, takes Eastern mysticism and ramps it up for the 21st Century.

From examining the nature of reality, to exploring one’s sex life or rocky relationships, host, Vaishali, who has been described as a cross between Lenny Bruce and an Ascended Master, will answer questions that are hurled her way by sincere listeners and seekers of spiritual wisdom.

“You Are What You Love” premieres on the Contact Talk Radio Network, Friday, June 23 from 1-2pm, Pacific Standard Time.

Is your mind your best friend or your worst enemy? Vaishali, an intellectual, yet highly irreverent mystic, magically stirs up concepts and stories from such traditional sources as Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Sufism, and blends them with the teachings of the ancient mystic, Emmanuel Swedenborg. But don’t expect her to stop there. Vaishali, who is the author of a book also called, “You Are What You Love,” is equally adept when it comes to discussing the spiritual teachings of Groucho Marx, Cheech and Chong, Jimi Hendrix, James Dean, or Homer Simpson.

Joining Vashali on July 14 is Dannion Brinkley, the best selling author of “Saved by the Light,” which has sold in the millions. Brinkley, who is a big fan of Vaishali’s, states that “Vaishali has the most original slant on spirituality he has ever seen.” Hear the ultimate wild man and wild woman as they let loose on the subjects of sex, diets, hospice, and life after death.

•    Jonathan Rose, head of the New Century Publications Division for the Swedenborg Organization, who shares how to bring greater mastery to our human experience;
• Abagayle, a shining example of how to overcome indescribable rage as she learns how to forgive the man who murdered her daughter; and
• Sarah Bartholomew and Mark Borax, two astrologers who bring a very different flavor to astrology as they share how to get the most out of life.

Says Vaishali: "Until now, radio has been used to bring forth a huge influx of fear. It’s time to take back the airwaves from selling tampons and terrorism. We’ve got one hour to explore what makes our lives meaningful, to talk about the big questions in life, and share how to get the most out of life. Listen to “You Are What You Love.” I promise that radio will never be the same, and neither will your perspective.”

Joining Vashali on future shows are:

•    Randy Peyser, the “Chutzpah Deva” and author of the upcoming book, “The Power of Miracle Thinking” who will share the one step that people miss when they want to create a miracle for themselves;
•    Jonathan Rose, head of the New Century Publications Division for the Swedenborg Organization, who shares how to bring greater mastery to our human experience;

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear one of the wisest and most entertaining teachers of spiritual thought on the planet today, along with her inspiring guests.

Bombay, India (PRWEB) May 10, 2006 -- From online dating services and single’s events, to bars and social hotspots, single women and men spend countless hours searching for “the one” -- that special being who will make their heart sing. However, what do most single people do when they meet a new person to whom they feel attracted? Do they take things slowly and get to know one another, perhaps developing a friendship, or will they be blindly led by the passion they feel in the moment? If the attraction develops, will they start obsessing over one another every minute they’re not together? Chances are, the greater the initial attraction, the more that relationship is doomed to fail.

According to A. Vishwanath “Vish” Anantharaman, the author of “The 7 Powerful Secrets of Emotional Sex,” www.7emotionalsecrets.com, the key to finding and creating a fulfilling relationship has little to do with the attraction or sexual desire that one feels upon meeting a new person, but has everything to do with the power of one’s mind and one’s understanding of what it takes to make a correct choice to begin with when pursuing a soul mate or partner.

So, what are the choices? Love or lust?; attraction or beauty?; and sex or sexual desire? When a door swings open and a new person enters one’s life, most individuals do not make the kinds of choices that lead to greater happiness. Instead, they choose to enter into some version of a relationship that is based on the worst possible choice for themselves.

Vish shares the example of a person who is presented with a choice of being given a $10 bill or a $100 bill. Naturally, he or she will choose the $100 bill because this individual has the ability to distinguish between the two bills and understands that the $100 bill has a value that is greater than the $10 bill. When it comes to this kind of choice, all individuals can agree that choosing the $100 bill is the right choice. However, when it comes to relationships, most people will choose lust over love; attraction over beauty, and desire over sex.

“If an individual can make a choice between 10 and 100, why cant’ he or she choose love over lust?” asks Vish, who believes that it is the mind that interferes with one’s choice, and that it is up to us to change our thought processes. “You have to make better choices in your life. If you do not know the difference between love and lust, you are shooting in the dark.”

Distinguishing between one’s ability to make a choice based on beauty versus attraction, Vish says, “Don’t participate in attraction; the best choice is beauty. Attraction is like gift wrap, but beauty is the ultimate gift. When you go after the gift wrap, you tear it apart, but the real beauty lies inside.

When a relationship is primarily based on attraction, a question will linger in the mind of the person feeling the attraction: he will think about what it is that he finds so attractive. If a relationship is based upon an attraction, even after the question has been asked -- and answered -- the question will not go away. Instead, it will remain in the person’s mind as he thinks about the other’s sexy looks, her smile, or her great body, etc. If, on the other hand, a person sees another’s beauty, he will perceive the inner value of the other through the observance of her personality.

“Actions taken from beauty are healthier than attraction,” says Vish, who states that sex is 90% emotional,... To read the press release in full goto http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/5/prweb383093.htm

Naples, Florida (PRWEB) April 25, 2006 -- From Oprah to the Dalai Lama, to the Beatles to the Buddha, comes "You Are What You Love," (Purple Haze Press), the definitive 21st Century guide for seekers of timeless wisdom.

Providing answers to some of life’s biggest questions, author Vaishali, an intellectual, yet highly irreverent mystic, magically mixes concepts and story-telling from such traditional sources as Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Sufism, with unconventional sources, including Groucho Marx, Cheech and Chong, Jimi Hendrix, James Dean, and even Mini-Me. http://www.purpleV.com.

Fortunately, for both the spiritually adept and layman, "You Are What You Love," doesn’t stick like dry rice cakes on the roof of one’s mouth while delving into such subjects as consciousness, spiritual growth, the function of the ego, or the nature of mind itself, but rather offers a fresh, new, often humorous slant on bringing alive the essence of eternal truth.

In between the traditional and the unconventional, readers will discover the core teaching the author feels binds many of the divergent philosophies and individuals together, which is namely that “you are what you love.” Based on the work of one of the author’s favorite teachers, the 17th Century mystic, Emmanuel Swedenborg, Vaishali states, “You are what you love, and you love whatever it is you are giving your attention to right now. For example, if one is worried about their income, what they love is being in a state of perpetual fear. If one is stewing over a relationship, what they love is to stew.”

Explains Vaishali, who has worked to extrapolate the extremely turgid writings of many brilliant philosophers like Swedenborg (who only wrote in Latin), and convert them into bite-sized concepts that anyone can understand, “We do not have love, we are love. Love is not a possession. You can’t lose it like a cheap pair of sunglasses in a gas station bathroom. Nobody can take it away from you. This book is about knowing you don’t have love, you are inseparable from it. You don’t have to earn it; you don’t have to justify it; you don’t have to wait until other people decide that you’re good enough to own it; you claim it because you don’t have it; you are it! Since you don’t have love, you are love, this also means you don’t have God-consciousness; you are God-consciousness.”

Calling "You Are What You Love" “nothing short of brilliant," Dannion Brinkley, the best selling author of "Saved by the Light," states, “This book is a spiritual recipe for serving up wisdom at its best. Vaishali shows you how to take the knowledge of the ages, mix it with the clarity of a flawless diamond, and stir in the truth of Heaven. Dine on it daily!” Dr. Brian Breiling, the author of Light Years Ahead, agrees, stating, “Vaishali’s writing provides a clear road map showing how we can practice realigning our insights to the gates of heaven itself.” Rave reviews have also been received from the world-renowned medical intuitive, Anthony William, who has gone as far as to say, “Vaishali provides a window into the future of spirituality.”

"You Are What You Love" delivers the secret to finding true happiness and purpose in life – especially for those who have hit a pothole on the road to enlightenment.
