Lakeland, FL. (PRWEB) November 10, 2006 -- Higgenbotham Auctioneers International (HAI) announced today that their firm has been retained by Sinclair Marketing, Inc. to offer at auction 51 investment properties in nine states which include Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming. The sales will be held either on location or in centrally located ballrooms along the 6000-mile route and have been scheduled for December 1st – December 13th.

This is HAI's second multi-property sale for Sinclair and follows closely on the heels of their 3rd quarter sale, of which they sold 11 out of 13 properties for the Utah-based oil conglomerate.

"Based on the success of the first auction, Sinclair has decided to offer a larger portion of their surplus real estate through the Higgenbotham auction process. We are certainly excited to have the opportunity to continue our relationship with Sinclair," stated John Haney, Auction Manager for HAI.

"Potential buyers should take a close look at these properties. Many of them are leased and income producing while others feature prime commercial locations. These are very viable properties in their respective markets," commented Haney.

The auction itinerary will begin on Friday, December 1st with simultaneous auctions being held in Colorado and Oklahoma and will conclude on Wednesday, December 13th, in St. Louis Missouri. Interested parties should verify the sales locations by calling Higgenbotham Auctioneers International at 1-800-257-4161 or by visiting their website at www.higgenbotham.com

Concerning the Mobeetie property, Ben Hill Griffin, III, the Company’s CEO and Chairman of the Board, stated “the Texas ranch has been a highly productive asset of Ben Hill Griffin, Inc.’s Ranch Division and has provided not only excellent grazing but farming and hunting as well. However, due to a strategic decision requiring more focus on the Florida operations, a decision was made to sell the Texas holdings”.

According to John Haney, Auction Manager for Lakeland, Fla. based Higgenbotham Auctioneers “We’re certainly excited to offer such a unique property at absolute auction. This large tract is very diverse and offers excellent opportunities ranging from agricultural operations to recreational activities, including hunting. This is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own all or part of such a high quality piece of Texas ranchland”.

Plant City, FL (PRWEB) September 2, 2006 -- Higgenbotham Auctioneers International announced today that they will be offering at auction 23 parcels totaling 640 acres in eastern Hillsborough County. These parcels range in size from one acre home-sites to a 320+ acre ranch, all of which are owned by Plant City native Kimball Wetherington. The Plant City multi-property auction will be held in the convention room at the Ramada Inn at SR 39 and Interstate 4 in Plant City on Saturday, October 14, 2006.

According to Higgenbotham Auctioneers representative Tom Haney, the auction will be the largest in memory for the Plant City area. “The Wetherington properties are diverse and cover a complete spectrum of uses and opportunities. The larger of the tracts are to include the 320 acre Wetherington ranch along Smith Ryals Road and Trapnell Road, and a 232 acre industrial tract that is located inside the Plant City corporate city limits,” stated Haney as he described the many details of the sale. The sale is to include residential, commercial and industrial tracts.

Part of the draw for the auction will be the success story of the property’s owner Kimball Wetherington. The energetic and hard working entrepreneur began his tractor and land clearing business in 1983, and is a key figure in the growth and development of eastern Hillsborough County. Wetherington Tractor Service(WTS) along with its 90 employees, serves many interests throughout the state of Florida and includes projects such as land preparation for housing developments, retail businesses, commercial sites, utilities and roadways.

“Our company (WTS) will continue to operate as it always has. Historically, we have been at the forefront of our industry. We are looking forward to allowing more of the day to day operations of WTS be handled by our managers and employees. Reducing our Florida real estate holdings will give us more time to focus on both WTS and our Colorado ranch and its cattle and timber interests,” stated Wetherington.

Founded in 1959, Higgenbotham Auctioneers International utilizes the auction method of marketing to sell real estate throughout the United States and the world. Higgenbotham’s success is attributed to the company’s stellar track record in marketing unique properties, and the firm enjoys continuing relationships with Fortune 500 clients such as Alcoa, Wal-Mart, and Albertson’s Supermarkets, as well as many other publicly traded and closely held companies.

Mackinaw City, MI. (PRWEB) June 29, 2006 -- Higgenbotham Auctioneers International announced today that Mackinaw Crossings, a 52-unit boutique style shopping mall will be sold at auction on Monday, August 7th at 6:00 p.m.

Established in 1996, Mackinaw Crossings, with its shopping and entertainment venues has become the lynch-pin of Mackinaw City’s developmental success. The city, which had been known for decades only as a ferry debarkation point for Mackinac Island is now a summer hotspot for northern Michigan and boasts more than 2.7 million tourists annually.

Located in the heart of the city, Mackinaw Crossings is a unique outdoor shopping center comprised of 52 retail stores, an 830 seat live production theatre, and a 100+ year old train depot that has been restored and is currently in use as a full service restaurant.

According to Bill Shepler, a local businessman and co-owner of the Crossings, the complex was originally designed to be retail condominiums that were capable of individual ownership. “For over two years, we have been planning the initial public offering of the individual units. We’ve explored many methods of sale. It was determined that the auction process was fairest and most effective way to offer these units to both the current tenants and to the general public.”

“It’s not often we get to offer such a viable retail opportunity. The Crossings is a exceptional and attractive property,” stated John Haney, Auction Manager for Higgenbothan Auctioneers. “This IPO, has something for everyone from local and national investors to the current tenants; each will have an opportunity to own space in The Crossings.”
