By fully utilizing the Microsoft.NET™ development framework as the very foundation of New World's Logos.NET™ Public Administration software, the Company is providing hundreds of city and county governments a technology solution to 'Work the Way You Live™'.

"We are supplying local governments with an enterprise solution that makes their employees more efficient through public administration software that is tailored to fit the way they work," said Bob Lewis, Vice President of Sales for New World Systems. "New World is relying on an industry leader [Microsoft to keep our technology ahead of the rest. This means we can focus on our customer's needs, rather than building and maintaining a foundational infrastructure."

The Microsoft.NET framework in New World's administration software provides a flexible, scalable and expandable foundation using web services in a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). New World's software uses additional Microsoft technology to ease reporting processes for local governments. Logos.NET offers seamless integration with common every-day applications, like Microsoft Office, to improve productivity and help eliminate paperwork. And web-based Logos.NET is also built to empower employees, vendors and citizens with anytime, anywhere access to the public administration software.

New World's highly successful 'Work the Way You Live' focus is making many city and county governments re-evaluate the way they handle public administration. More than a dozen new customers from across the country have joined the Company's expanding customer-base in the first half of 2008, largely due to New World's technology and software development direction.

In the City of Brooklyn Park, Minn., the most recent city to select New World's Logos.NET Public Administration software solution, officials explained technology did play a key role in selecting a public administration software provider.

"New World's technology vision is a good match for where our city is heading," said Brooklyn Park Finance Director Cory Kampf. "The Microsoft.NET™ environment provides an ease of use we enjoy, and Logos.NET has the strongest reporting capabilities of all the solutions we reviewed. New World's technology platform and development direction will make us more efficient because their solution seamlessly integrates with applications we use every day like Microsoft Excel, Outlook and more."

Victor, ID (PRWEB) August 27, 2008 -- Jackson Hole Auction Company (www.jacksonholeauctions.com) announces the Annual Fall Real Estate Auction from Eastern Idaho to Jackson Hole and across Wyoming on September 20, according to William F. Burke CAI AARE, auctioneer and president of the company.

Burke said, "We are actively seeking property owners in the Jackson Hole market areas who want to auction their property for 100 percent of the current market value with no seller commission. to enter their properties prior to the Monday September 1st deadline" the last day sellers may register.

"As one of only 322 Accredited Auctioneers of Real Estates (AARE) in the United States, we can deliver a higher level of service than 98.6% of real estate professionals in the marketplace," he noted.

Burke added, "Last year we auctioned two homes in Teton Springs and delivered $660,000 and $715,000 for a private seller who had purchased based on pre-construction appraisals with inflated resale values of $1.4 to $1.6 million each. Our seller could not make the $18,000 payments for property in a subdivision that only had two arms length transactions during 2007, and they had no hope of selling using traditional methods."

"If you read the newspapers, listen to the radio or watch the news on TV, the message is nothing but doom and gloom about the real estate market," said Burke. "If you are trying to sell using the broken list, price, put up a sign and place it in the MLS methods, they are correct and your property can sit on the market for years with no bids or contingency "offers" while losing value each and every day."

He continued, "People selling real estate in the Jackson Hole market think they are 'immune' to the nationwide correction in real estate values, with almost every agent saying the same things agents in Orange County, California, were telling us two years ago, which is 'It can't happen here, there is too much demand, prices will never go down…'"

"July 2008 saw an actual 28 percent across the board decrease in Orange County property values," according to DQnews.com, explained Burke. The Jackson Hole market has seen the first signs of the nationwide real estate turmoil with public records revealing a 40% percent decrease in sales transactions from this time last year and a four to five percent decrease in property values."

Burke said, "This could be the tip of the iceberg or the prices can 'hold the line' depending on a number of factors outside of the control of sellers, agents or the local market."

"The good news is an auction is an event where bidders 'win' the property and are happy knowing they only paid one bid more than someone else was willing to pay," said Burke. "Competitive bidding will deliver 100 percent of the present cash market value for a property on a specific date in "as-is" condition with no contingencies and a quick 30-day closing with no seller commission."

Burke explained that the buyer pays the commission to the auctioneer, along with the escrow and closing fees in the spirit of 2,000 years of auction traditions. He noted, "This is the selling event of the season. If a property owner wants to sell their property on September 20th, this auction event will simply deliver more marketing firepower than the local agents are capable of delivering."

Broker participation is encouraged, and if a property is listed with an agent,... To read the press release in full goto http://www.prweb.com/releases/Wyoming/Idaho/prweb1251094.htm

Can we leave the world a better place and be successful at the same time? Nic Mc and Aquamuzic have answered yes to the above and placed their faith into his first release, Unlimited Guitar Experiments Vol 1.

"Nic is an original and a free thinker," says Aquamuzic president, Thierry Deruelle. "He is the alter ego that every business man secretly wants to be... He's the one that made the Aquamuzic project work."

His philosophy is that once your family is protected, you have a couple of nice cars, a nice home, good schools to send your kids to, nice clothes and some free time to travel, what else do you need? "So many people on this planet can't even safely drink their water and we need 3 iPhones? Frugality is not the issue here and no one should be ashamed of success. We ought to live comfortably but can we do it better?"

"Sustainable economic development for us in the west will come with an eco minded sustainable middle class everywhere else and it is not by replicating our wasteful model in China and India that we will achieve success on this planet as a species," says Nic.

Aquamuzic wants to be a catalyst between artists such as Nic Mc and large organizations that fight poverty around the world by giving access to drinkable water.

Wasn't' there a saying in the seventies that music could help change the world? Now is the time, here is the place, www.nicmc.com

Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) August 21, 2008 -- Companion animals are more than just furry creatures on four legs; they are part of our American families. We give them attention, protection and love. Yet what many Americans don’t give them is the security of seeking veterinary care that includes treatment by a credentialed veterinary technician.

The range of medical treatment available for animals has increased exponentially in the past several decades. The public needs to make sure the veterinary clinic they choose hires credentialed veterinary technicians, ensuring the person treating their animal is educated in the latest medical advances and working alongside veterinarians to give pets the best medical care possible.

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Inc. (NAVTA) will celebrate October 12-18, 2008 by recognizing National Veterinary Technician Week. “Vet Tech Week provides an opportunity to honor the veterinary technician for the outstanding job they do. It also provides NAVTA with an opportunity to educate companion animal owners about the benefits of working with a veterinarian that employs credentialed veterinary technicians, which is equally important,” stated Andrea Ball, executive director of NAVTA.

“Credentialed technicians receive more than a degree from an accredited veterinary program. Most are required to take a certification exam and many complete ongoing training in the classroom and on the job to keep up with medical advances and the wide range of animal care disciplines, which range from small pets to livestock and exotic species. When you invest in medical treatment for your pet, in return, you should receive the best care possible and a credentialed veterinary technician helps ensure this happens.” National Veterinary Technician Week is also a time to acknowledge the veterinarians who hire credentialed veterinary technicians, recognizing the important role they play in pet healthcare.

NAVTA is a nonprofit organization that represents and promotes the profession of Veterinary Technology. NAVTA provides direction, education, support and coordination for its members. Incorporated in 1981, NAVTA is the national organization devoted exclusively to developing and enhancing the profession of veterinary technology. They take a year round approach toward educating and promoting veterinary technicians through conferences, tradeshows, and a poster campaign sponsored by Ft. Dodge Animal Health. Companion animals give us unconditional love and veterinary technicians give us peace of mind and they should be celebrated during National Veterinary Technician Week. More information about NAVTA and this special week can be found at www.navta.net.

St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) August 19, 2008 -- A new online registry for teachers created by Minnesota-based Anderson's, is launching in time for back to school. Similar to registries for babies and brides, Gold Star Registry is designed to allow teachers to post a wish list of the supplemental classroom tools that enhance their learning environment, such as skill-builders, achievement awards and learning incentives. The registry provides the curriculum aids they need to teach and motivate students while enabling parents, parent-teacher associations and other supportive community members to contribute the exact supplies requested by the teachers.

According to a recent national survey conducted by Quality Education Data (QED), U.S. teachers spend on average $475 of their own money on supplies for their students and classrooms. Gold Star Registry aims to help alleviate pressure on teacher pocketbooks by enabling parents and others to contribute the exact supplies teachers indicate they need most. The service lets the teacher take advantage of the Internet to build upon the lists of classroom items needed that teachers typically send out at the beginning of the year.

"Gold Star Registry makes it possible to obtain the tools that will help students learn while also making it easy for parents and communities to provide meaningful support to their local teachers," said Katie Schervish, an elementary school teacher from St. Nicholas Academy in Louisville, Kentucky, who participated in the pilot launch of the new service. "While donations from parents or the parent teacher association are always appreciated, the items they give may not always align with our most pressing learning need."

Gold Star Registry Business Unit Leader and Program Spokesperson Judy McClellan said, "In many districts, school budgets simply cannot cover the cost of all the classroom supplies needed. Teachers committed to creating an attractive learning environment and providing the additional tools to help their students learn are buying the extras with their own money. Our registry enables teachers to get what they need without putting further strain on their own budget or that of the district. It effectively widens the circle of support for schools."

To use the service, teachers register at a website, www.goldstarregistry.com. There, they can build an online wish list from the more than 6,000 available products from 16 leading education publishers that have been recommended by teachers. They simply indicate the quantity of each item needed. Teachers can update their wish lists while also indicating the preferred delivery date of materials at any time throughout the school year.

Parents, parent teacher associations and others can then log onto an individual teacher's registry and purchase items, knowing that 100 percent of the gift goes directly to the teacher. They can make their selections fully confident that they are contributing supplies that the teacher and students specifically want and need. Purchases are shipped directly to the school, a convenience that saves donors time, effort and gasoline.

Gold Star Registry helps ensure that the items donors give will make a difference for the teacher and students. Parents will know the teacher needs specific items like workbooks, bulletin board sets, flashcards, stickers or award incentives that will help to enhance learning skills versus giving a gift specific to a teacher. "Although we appreciate the sentiment, many of us simply don't need another gift of a coffee...
(PRWEB) August 18, 2008 -- Now in its third year, the Saint Paul Almanac is the only guidebook dedicated solely to Minnesota's capital city. Including a calendar, date book, restaurant reviews, essays and poems about Saint Paul, the Almanac is a rich resource for anyone wishing to explore the cultural and social depths of Saint Paul throughout the year.

Contributors include notable Saint Paulites such as Garrison Keillor, Gordon Parks, Patricia Hampl, Carol Connolly, Jim Moore, Deborah Keenan, Mahmoud El-Kati, Phebe Hanson, and 75 other writers.

The 368-page 2009 Saint Paul Almanac is on sale now for $11.95 online at saintpaulalmanac.com, and will be available in mainstream bookstores, including Barnes & Noble, Borders, and Amazon.com on September 1st, in time for the Republican National Convention, during which 50,000 new visitors are expected to descend upon the city.

Apart from its obvious function as a travel guidebook, the Almanac aims to preserve individual and community stories, welcome newcomers into Saint Paul's yeasty mixture of communities through writing, and produce what will amount to a collective, communal memory for Saint Paul.

They say community is dead, the book is dead, and story lies dying. Editor Kimberly Nightingale, schooled most recently at the Hubert Humphrey Institute of the University of Minnesota says, "Not in Saint Paul. All my experiences have taught me that place matters deeply. Stories matter. Stories may be as important as food for survival."

This realization coalesced into the vision Nightingale had for creating a book about living in St. Paul as defined by time (the calendar) and combining that with articles, stories, and poems that reflect on the city in a more timeless way.

"My hope is that the Almanac begins a conversation between people about what the place they live in means to them."

The Saint Paul Almanac solicits and revels in the work of authors and poets, including Saint Paul's most prominent writers. There are contributions from baseball fanatics; hot rodders; quirky Rangers (the Minnesota term for sturdy northerners from the cold Mesabi Iron Range); and newcomers from as far afield as Cambodia, Somalia, Mexico, Ethiopia, and the Twin Cities' equally exotic distant suburbs.

The Almanac offers something for everything--a range of short stories, essays, mild political screeds, immigration tales, memoirs, and calendar of events that has not seen its parallel since the subscription omnigatherums of the late nineteenth century. Its variety makes the Almanac great reading for the bedside table, the deck, or the outdoor coffee house.

Writers' contributions charm and win the trust of readers through attentiveness to the tales they tell. Most of the Almanac's editorial selections are excursions into neighborhood, family, or personal history, whose enjoyment lies in their modesty and detail. You can almost hear a child nudging each writer forward: "And then what happened?!"

The result, as Minnesotans might put it, is "not so bad"---a plucky annual celebrating difference, similarity, wholeness, and weirdness.

ISBN: 978-0-9772651-4-5 368 pages, 5-3/16 x 8 inches, PB with layflat binding

"A practical, informative, and at times personal reference of all things St. Paul." --City Pages

"A compendium of local event calendars, resources and tips, combined with personal stories, history and secrets. All that, and plenty of room to scribble your own plans, insights and lists." --Star Tribune

Madlen Krushev is a shining example of the positive direction that Russian fashion has taken since its explosive appearance on to the scene in the 1990's. As some may know, the Russian fashion world was greatly inhibited by past governmental control and has only been allowed to freely prosper during the past few decades. The pent up fashion sense of many Russians being allowed to suddenly release has been accredited to several brilliant designers such as Madlen to really come forth with their best designs.

Hrant Keoshgerian is a renowned jewelry designer from Armenia and has been making jewelry and been involved in jewelry design for over 12 years. His brand name, H.K. Jewelry also known as H.K. Creations, is available worldwide and may be purchased through http://www.sloppyangel.com where there are photos of his designs and many of his sketches as well. According to the C.I.A. Factbook, Armenia's number one industry is diamond-processing. With jewelry making ranking fourteenth, it comes as no surprise that we should be seeing very talented jewelry designers like Hrant coming from Armenia.

Sloppy Angel also supports honest to goodness charities for needy children and helpless animals such as: Orphan Sponsorship International and Animal Friends League of Kuwait. There are links to both on their website. Their fashionable women's clothing, art and jewelry are all available now online.

This venture allows two wonderful talents to be available to the entire world. Russian fashion and Armenian jewelry have not been so easy for Americans and residents of other countries around the world to access until now. The joint venture promotes a rare and widely sought after Russian clothing line, the same designer's unique paintings and sketches and the popular jewelry styles from a country that really knows its jewelry, Armenia.

Addison, Mich. (PRWEB) August 14, 2008 -- Scotland's J.K. Rowling, the once unknown author who claimed to create Harry Potter from her imagination, stirred up American pop culture by exposing children to spells, witchcraft and wizardry. Now, an American author is stirring up the answer, exposing children to true secrets, myths and miracles. The author introduces character J.C. Lamb, who came not from the imagination, but from a sacrifice and a vision from God.

Mary's Lamb Publishing recently debuted their first Give & Share Book™ titled "The Secret of Yahweh!" at the International Christian Retail Show, and it proved to be an instant favorite. The line that formed to meet author LeFerna Arnold-Walch and get a copy of her book was one not usually seen for an unknown writer (especially one whose testimony claims she is "not much of a writer.") LeFerna has become a leading authority on the un-churched family since her son's car crashed into a church in 1998.

"My firstborn son's coma was the sacrifice it took to open my eyes to God's plan for me. Now I have a promise to keep," she says. The author and veteran entertainer also has radio and television experience, and will be a recommended guest for talk shows across America in an August 2008 issue of Radio and TV Interview Report Magazine.

LeFerna says what makes her Christian children's novel newsworthy and unique is not only that it stands up for our "under God" Christian history in the United States and introduces a character whose mission is to reach 100 million un-churched Americans, but that each book creates 12 new or reaffirmed disciples for Christ when the circle goes unbroken and the book is returned to its original owner.

"It is a new family-reading experience that has people calling J.C. Lamb the Christian parent's answer to the Harry Potter phenomenon," LeFerna says.

Christian parents can compare J.C. Lamb to Harry Potter in several ways:
• Instead of a lightning bolt on the forehead, J.C. Lamb wears the sign of the fish on his chest, right over his heart
• J.C. Lamb is magical because God sent him as a messenger arriving in a vision from a song, not in a basket to live under the stairs.
• Instead of using wands and witchcraft, children who meet J.C. Lamb learn how to spiritually see with their hearts by believing in things they cannot always see with their own eyes--which is an important lesson, since not everyone can see J.C. Lamb at first!
• J.C. Lamb uses "Give & Share" as his sport of choice instead of quidditch.

This "magical" book also contains secrets the author didn't see coming.

When LeFerna finished the first book draft, the title was "Meet J.C." This was before she said she felt led to rewrite the true names of God and Jesus into "Mystery Sunday" and change the title to "The Secret of Yahweh!"

"After this change, strange things began to happen," LeFerna says. "It was as if the secrets to the novel extended beyond the pages of the book. My first surprise was the way this twist on Mary's Little Lamb seemed to be attracting adult readers claiming to learn something new from this children's story about Christianity. This was quite a complement for someone who claims to have spent the first 40 years of her life 'wandering in the wilderness' of the un-churched."

Initially, LeFerna thought she was writing for ages 7 to 12, adding more than 100 illustrations so parents would read it with their younger children, but the library refused to... To read the press release in full goto http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/8/prweb1182774.htm

Walnut Creek, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2008 -- Learn from San Francisco Bay Area author Dan Moore, who wrote just released "Through The Wall of Rain and Fog" when he was 16, how harrowing every day life can be for teenagers.

In a raw, authentic voice he explores high school friendship, despair, and hope, and insists we join the characters' search for meaning. He propels the reader along with intimate revelation as we walk, run, and ultimately race headlong into the unknown - witness to the characters' ragged, wrenching ascent into adulthood.

The painful, promising plot takes the reader's breath away, as the author shows us how quickly every day situations can spiral out of control. He propels the reader along with intimate revelation as we walk, run, and ultimately race headlong into the unknown - witness to the characters' ragged, wrenching ascent into adulthood. Moore's clear talent - his ability to craft dialogue and to express the inexpressible - leaves the reader spellbound, uncomfortable, loving the characters, and longing for more. Moore's next book, "The Summer of Billy Stevens", arrives in early 2009.

Audience/Comparables: Aimed at young adult readers, the book has broad appeal as teen alienation is a dangerous issue today. Parents will be riveted by the insight Dan provides into the hearts and minds, the intensity and sensitivity, and the interpretation of experience of teenagers growing up today. Some have compared the book to Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs or "The Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton.

About the Author: Dan Moore is now an 18-year-old living in the suburbs of San Francisco, on his way to college. He writes because he must, and still believes that Disco Cow, written in second grade, is his best work. His observations often develop into funny, frightening, irresistible narratives with vivid characters and alarming insights. His friends mean the world to him, but his most trusted companions are his morbidly obese dog and overweight cat.

Early Comments from Readers and Reviewers:
"...a debut novel focused on the power of friendship... In fact, the only thing Chris Walker seems to have in his favor is his friends: Dave, Nyle and Jamar. ...But author Moore, an 18-year-old recent high school graduate himself, quickly calls the boys' bond into question… Moore settles into his characters...captures readers, creating vivid portraits of teenage confusion, anger and chaos..." --Kirkus Discoveries

"The story ...has me hooked. I am eager to turn each page... His characters are clearly drawn and his dialog is right on target, nothing stilted, very authentic. I really care about everyone in his story and that is a very good sign." --Mary Embree, Executive Director, California Literary Arts Society

"...book caught my attention ...sounded a lot like what my son went through…I really got into it and found that I couldn't put it down. ...I knew I was reading something that allowed me insight into the crazy world of teenage boys these days…it is actually a great story. ...an awesome job of drawing the reader in, helping the reader get to know the characters." --Brenda Burke, Mother, Teen Aged Boys

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 13, 2008 -- It's a struggle that all working moms face: Juggling responsibilities as a mom and employee without neglecting family; jeopardizing workplace status; and most importantly, forsaking sanity. But what about the challenges that working moms face during their child's kindergarten year in school? After all, starting school is a major adjustment for kids and a whole new learning experience for working moms as well.

In her first book, "Corporate to Kindergarten" (ISBN: 978-1-60034-642-2, available at www.amazon.com and www.raiglover.com), award-winning executive Raichelle "Rai" Glover shares her personal, weekly diary of the joys and struggles she faced while being the mother of a kindergartener and managing a thriving corporate career. The book features witty, thought-provoking, and realistic insights that are sure to resonate with working moms or "moms who work outside the home."

For Glover, the book is an opportunity to let working moms know that they are not alone in their kindergarten experiences. "A child's first year in school is a unique time for working moms," says Glover, who became one of the youngest retirees at Bank of America in 2007. "This is a new horizon for kids and another level of commitment and nurturing for working moms and dads because we want to provide all the support we can - and still meet the demands of the workplace. I vowed that I would share my kindergarten journey with other parents and here it is."

Readers will laugh, cry, and relate to Glover as she reveals:
•Dealing with the guilt of being a parent and having a career.
•Explaining to her son why mommy is "leaving in the dark time" for work, again.
•Ongoing feelings of "did I raise my child right?" and "should I home school, private school, stay at home, work part-time, flex-time, or no-time?"
•Racing from corporate meetings to PTA meetings.
•How focusing and refocusing on faith and family puts life's daily challenges into perspective.
"The one thing that I want working moms to take away from Corporate to Kindergarten is that there is a light at the end of the tunnel -- even when hard choices and sacrifices have to be made along the way. That's what I learned during our kindergarten year in school."

Glover launched the motivational speaking and leadership coaching firm Rai Glover Consulting in April 2008. The business offers motivational speaking and leadership coaching solutions across a variety of industries. Prior to this, she enjoyed a twenty-three year career with Bank of America and its predecessor banks.

During this time, Glover held nine different positions, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Market Development Manager for Bank of America's Human Resources, a position that focused on community relations. Glover retired from Bank of America in 2007, becoming one of the youngest retirees under the bank's "Rule of 60" qualifications -- age plus years of service totaling 60 or greater. Glover's recent honors and recognitions include a 2007 BOB (Best of the Best) award by Charlotte Magazine; 2006 Person of Prominence by The Charlotte Post Newspaper; 2006 Most Supportive Person of the Latin American Community presented by La Noticia, The Spanish-Language Newspaper; a 2005 Maya Angelou Women Who Lead award presented by Dr. Maya Angelou; and a... Published by Rockhill Books, ''What's Next in Your Life?'' is written to appeal to the nation's 76 million baby boomers who, while they may have already planned for their financial retirement, need the tools to plan for a more fulfilling and rewarding life after 50, according to Ms. Strewler-Carter.

"The media continues to hammer the message of planning for your financial retirement, when there are so many non-financial issues to be considered including: at what age do you retire, do you continue working, do you relocate, consider wellness issues, etc." adds Mr. Carter.
