Austin, Texas (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- Toxins in the home may be more harmful than previously thought, according to the conclusions of two recent scientific studies. The results of a National Institutes of Health-funded 23-year study published recently in The Journal of Neuroscience reported a link between early-in-life lead exposure and accumulation of Alzheimer's-type plaque in the brain later in life. In a separate study, published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, scientists discovered that particles found in indoor air can be inhaled and enter the bloodstream affecting blood vessel performance and possibly increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease in the elderly. In an effort to reduce lead exposure in the home and combat indoor air pollution, Alen Corporation is launching nationwide this July the first and only lead-free portable home air purifier ever available for purchase in the U.S. marketplace called "Paralda".

"The findings of these two recently released scientific studies illuminate the fact that the air in American homes needs to be vastly improved without using a consumer electronic device containing lead," said Peter Mann, CEO of Alen Corporation. "Paralda will be the first and only air purifier in America available for consumer purchase that is completely lead-free. Alen Corporation has spent years on its development and the result is a compact, modern design featuring the most advanced HEPA filtration system, a UV lamp set to last 3 to 5 years, and ionizer - all while being Energy Star qualified and ozone-safe," concluded Mann.

Paralda has a 24-hour programmable timer, weighs 17 lbs., measures 8"W x 11"D x 28"H, with a low power consumption of 55 watts. It features a translucent outer core with two color choices for the inner core - bamboo green or white. It will be available July 2008 and the retail price is $499 U.S.

Williamsport, PA (PRWEB) June 4, 2007 -- Alert One Services, Inc. (www.alert-1.com) is releasing the first and only two-way talking help button with 24-hour monitoring this July. This new and most advanced personal help button available on the market - called "ClearCall"- is the only true two-way voice button used in the medical alarm industry. Unlike similar looking devices that simply place an anonymous call to 911, the ClearCall button will activate the Alert One monitored medical alarm service and connect the user with a highly trained emergency operator any time - day or night.

"Now your loved ones will be protected 24-hours each day - and have the ability to speak to a highly trained professional without trying to move should an emergency occur - which is priceless," said Eric O'Connor, President of Alert One. "ClearCall's new technology coupled with advanced ease of use is setting a higher standard and revolutionizing the medical alarm industry. ClearCall is small and lightweight with a built-in speaker and microphone with simple one-touch operation that works up to 300 feet from the Alert One medical alarm base unit in a user's home. This allows users to have peace of mind even outside the home while gardening or getting the mail. ClearCall can also be used to answer incoming phone calls from anywhere - press the blue button when your phone rings and speak normally - and when your call is complete - press the blue button once again to disconnect," O'Connor stated.

Millions of caregivers, senior citizens, and the disabled have relied on Alert One products for quality and reliability for more than 20-years as the company is the most respected medical alarm provider in the industry. Many of the elderly, baby boomers and their caregivers will enjoy the water resistant (can be worn in the shower), 900 Mhz ClearCall which can be worn on a neck cord or belt clip for convenience.

"We have spent years developing the most technologically sophisticated yet user-friendly and lightweight medical alarm device available anywhere - and Alert One is proud to bring it to the consumer this July," O'Connor concluded.

The ClearCall medical alert system for the home is $34.95 per month and includes: one personal waterproof help button on either a belt clip or neck cord; 24-hour emergency monitoring; a no-risk - true 30 day trial period; unlimited live-person customer service access; a rate-lock guarantee; a 100% Lifetime Warranty on the entire medical alarm system; and an anytime cancellation policy.

This one-of-a-kind formulation used for years by Canadians suffering from joint discomfort contains a unique combination of Collagen Type II, Devil's Claw, Sarsaparilla, Yucca, Feverfew, White Willow Bark, Bosewellia Serrata, Bromelain, and Glucosamine HCL. LaKOTA helps facilitate cartilage renewal and lubrication while promoting joint flexibility.

"There is tremendous demand for new and unique joint-care supplements, as U.S. consumers seek optimum results to their joint discomfort by trying different joint care supplements and Lakota's formulation is definitely different from the competition here in America," said Ria Romano, LaKOTA-USA Public Relations Manager. "By combining the finest natural ingredients with traditional Native American knowledge of herbs for joint discomfort, LaKOTA provides U.S. consumers with a unique formula that Canadians with joint problems have benefited from for years. The LaKOTA Joint Care Formula is available immediately in Walgreens stores, Walgreens.com and Costco.com - and will be in select mass retailers nationwide by the second quarter of 2007."

One in four U.S. adults say they suffer a day-long bout of joint discomfort in the average month, and one in ten said the pain lasted a year or more, according to the U.S. government's annual, comprehensive report of Americans' health, Health United States, 2006, released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The knee is the joint that causes the most pain according to the report, and severe joint pain increased with age, with women reporting severely painful joints more often than men (10 percent versus 7 percent).

In addition to LaKOTA Joint Care Formula Maximum Strength, Canada's best-selling topical pain reliever - LaKOTA Topical Pain Relieving Roll-on - Arthritis Formula - is now available to consumers nationwide at www.Costco.com in a special Twin Pak, at www.Walgreens.com and in the future at www.CVS.com.
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) July 31, 2006 -– Famatech International Corporation (http://www.famatech.com) has unveiled "DirectScreenTransfer" their newest technology that makes Radmin 3.0 (http://www.radmin.com/radmin3/) the fastest remote control software now available. The main advantages of "DirectScreenTransfer" technology is that it receives screen changes instantly from Windows OS allowing the new Radmin 3.0 to run 20 times faster than the competition, which includes RealVNC, NetOp, Remote Desktop, LapLink, PcAnywhere, Dameware, and Remote Assistance. Radmin’s newest version – 3.0 - provides PC remote control software technology with unparalleled speed, less traffic consumption, more effective data transmission, stability, and ease-of-use with Russian military-grade security.

Radmin 3.0 operates based on the same method Windows updates the screen – updating only those parts of the screen that are changed. However until Radmin 3.0, the most effective remote control software optimized algorithm for tracking changes and sending only that part of the screen that had truly changed. In addition, before the screen could be captured for tracking changes, it had to be sent by Windows drivers to the video RAM. The basic problems were algorithms consumed processor time and the interface from the video RAM was very slow.

Now, in order to receive Windows desktop updates more efficiently, Famatech has written a custom driver and integrated it into the new Radmin 3.0 system. This driver can pass information to remote control software that will subsequently transfer it back to the user and display remote screen changes. Such technology is called a “mirror driver” and Radmin’s implementation of this technology is the "DirectScreenTransfer" – providing speed 20 times faster than competing products and top accuracy with minimum CPU usage.

“By implementing 'DirectScreenTransfer' in the new Radmin 3.0 the performance gap from our closest competitors is now just immense,” said Nicholas Yevglevski, Director of North American Operations for Famatech Corporation. “There are several software companies on the market which use similar approaches - such as a Video Hook Driver. However, Radmin 3.0 is unique in its use of a ‘mirror driver,’ which is fully integrated with Windows XP and Windows 2003 ‘switch user’ engine, allowing it to seamlessly transfer the desktop while users are switched on a remote computer.”

For more information or to interview Nicholas Yevglevski, Director of North American Operations at Famatech regarding Radmin 3.0 or the DirectScreenTransfer technology, contact Ria Romano, PR Manager at 786-290-6413.
