Stratford, CT/Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) July 24, 2006 -- From Pettaway Enterprises, PR: Many don't even know her name, however; have seen either a business card or her products either as a gift or burning in a room of sorts. Allison Edwards, entrepreneuer, chandler, devoted mother, and message board moderator is the woman behind the magic known to us Sweet Treatz.

In 2004, while working at a local YMCA, Edwards longed to work for herself. In search of a hobby that was to relieve the stresses of everyday life, Edwards began looking into candle making. After company reorganization at the YMCA, she was fortunate enough to have her ideas and notes on hand to begin her creation which is now known as Sweet Treatz. Bearing a catchy name with an even catchier slogan, “We cater to you so you can cater to yourself”, Sweet Treatz is the talk of the town.

"I just wanted to give to others some peace after working hard. We as women and providers for our families work very hard. We appreciate something as simple as lighting a candle for an hour and just relaxing" Edwards says.

Sweet Treatz is currently an online store that sells items such as candles (gel and soy), personalized gift baskets, bath and body items, flowers and incense. "I wanted to have a business where my children and their wives can one day take over when I'm old and gray," Edwards quips.

In time, with much hard work and success like other small businesses, Sweet Treatz will definitely be a force to reckon with.

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) Pettaway Enterprises June 25, 2006 -- WOW would like to announce the start of Project Support Our Soldiers (S.O.S). This project was started after a concerned mother contacted us about the lack of reading and movie material for soldiers in their Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) rooms at their Forward Operating Bases (FOB)in Asadabad, Afghanistan.

Many soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines call this FOB home and many more come through there on a regular basis to rest and relax between missions. Some of them just want one simple thing and that’s to sit and relax and watch a nice movie or curl up on the chair and read a book. There are great things being done here in Asadabad and the men and women at war here deserve this simple gift that will help them get through their long deployments. WOW is seeking donations of magazines, books, bibles, DVDs, CDs, CD Players, and other recreational items to send to these men and women. Though some of us do not support the war, we believe that we must support those who are out there fighting for their lives everyday regardless of our personal beliefs.

When talking to Tara Lewis, Founder of Women of Wisdom (WOW) and the direction she is looking to go with Project S.O.S., she is very optimistic. “What WOW is doing is helping our fellow man, not necessarily supporting the war. Many soldiers have families here in the states, and hopefully with today’s technology, they can stay in contact with their families via dvds, and such.”

Women of Wisdom was founded in March 2006 by Tara Lewis and Domini Griffin. WOW strives to provide opportunities for women to enhance themselves emotionally, physically, spiritually, socially, and professionally. To learn more information about Women Of Wisdom please contact Tara Lewis and Domini Griffin directly.
