Farragut North by Beau Willimon - Set in Iowa during a tight presidential primary race, press secretary Stephen has a career that men twice his age would envy. Thrown into backroom politics, how do you choose between lust for power and loyalty to the cause? This political drama is a classic tale of hubris set against the landscape of small town America… a look at ourselves.

Yankee Tavern by Steven Dietz - Just when you thought you'd heard every 9/11 theory in the world… a man walks into the Yankee Tavern. There, a young couple find themselves caught up in what might be the biggest conspiracy of them all. Witness this fierce and funny dramatic thriller and know once again that what you don't know can hurt you.

Fifty Words by Michael Weller - Marriage is no walk in the park. This domestic drama is a hair-raising roller-coaster ride to the painful, funny, revealing and ruthlessly honest heart of modern marriage. Most audiences with any experience of cohabitation will recognize themselves in this emotional battleground of contemporary relationships. Love hurts… and it's not necessarily pretty.

The History of Light by Eisa Davis (World Premiere) - Imagine your father's college girlfriend tracking you down and sending you a stack of his fervent love letters. But what if you never knew your father, or a true, reciprocal love? A young singer's life is transformed as her past becomes her present. Swelling with the music of a grand piano, here is a passionate fusion between fathers and daughters, lovers and friends.

Dear Sara Jane by Victor Lodato (World Premiere) - Sweet Sara Jane, alone at home, waits for her soldier husband to return from war. After too many bourbons, she poses dangerous questions and exposes nasty secrets. Sister and mother, fantasy and fact, it's all twisted together in this mix of metaphysical stand-up and mad cabaret. One woman, not really alone, in this solo play with songs.

The CATF Box Office will open March 9 with pre-season hours Monday through Friday from noon until 5:00pm, with the online box office open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Single ticket prices begin...
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) August 21, 2008 -- Companion animals are more than just furry creatures on four legs; they are part of our American families. We give them attention, protection and love. Yet what many Americans don’t give them is the security of seeking veterinary care that includes treatment by a credentialed veterinary technician.

The range of medical treatment available for animals has increased exponentially in the past several decades. The public needs to make sure the veterinary clinic they choose hires credentialed veterinary technicians, ensuring the person treating their animal is educated in the latest medical advances and working alongside veterinarians to give pets the best medical care possible.

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Inc. (NAVTA) will celebrate October 12-18, 2008 by recognizing National Veterinary Technician Week. “Vet Tech Week provides an opportunity to honor the veterinary technician for the outstanding job they do. It also provides NAVTA with an opportunity to educate companion animal owners about the benefits of working with a veterinarian that employs credentialed veterinary technicians, which is equally important,” stated Andrea Ball, executive director of NAVTA.

“Credentialed technicians receive more than a degree from an accredited veterinary program. Most are required to take a certification exam and many complete ongoing training in the classroom and on the job to keep up with medical advances and the wide range of animal care disciplines, which range from small pets to livestock and exotic species. When you invest in medical treatment for your pet, in return, you should receive the best care possible and a credentialed veterinary technician helps ensure this happens.” National Veterinary Technician Week is also a time to acknowledge the veterinarians who hire credentialed veterinary technicians, recognizing the important role they play in pet healthcare.

NAVTA is a nonprofit organization that represents and promotes the profession of Veterinary Technology. NAVTA provides direction, education, support and coordination for its members. Incorporated in 1981, NAVTA is the national organization devoted exclusively to developing and enhancing the profession of veterinary technology. They take a year round approach toward educating and promoting veterinary technicians through conferences, tradeshows, and a poster campaign sponsored by Ft. Dodge Animal Health. Companion animals give us unconditional love and veterinary technicians give us peace of mind and they should be celebrated during National Veterinary Technician Week. More information about NAVTA and this special week can be found at www.navta.net.
