Video Symphony's president, Mike Flanagan, explained the decision to add the Avid Professional Night Program: "We hear from so many career-changers and young people who are eager to become expert editors, but they need to keep the jobs they have. In response, we've adapted our facility to accommodate their requests." Initially, the Avid Professional Night Program classes will be conducted on Monday and Wednesday evenings, plus one weekend per month. The first evening sessions are scheduled to begin on June 30th, 2008. Early registration is recommended because there are limited seats available. Financial aid options are available to qualified students. "It may take a little longer for night students to complete the program," Flanagan added, "but they will be equally prepared to compete in the Hollywood job market when they graduate."
