(PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- Many people have struggled with spam filling their e-mail boxes, and often wonder if there is a better way to connect online. PageMailr.com (www.PageMailr.com) is providing that option now by offering a new solution to prevent e-mail spam.

"One issue I have is that I always go through my junk mail folders because every so often email I want is mistakenly sent there," said Pete Wingard creator of PageMailr. "What is the point of spam filters for someone like me if you go through the junk mail anyway? On the other extreme, I know users who never look at their email much less their junk mail unless someone uses a predefined keyword in the subject field or only if it is a user from their safe list. How easily can you generate new contacts from the Internet like this?"

An example of how PageMailr works is that instead of an email address like YOU@MailDomain.com, PageMailr users get a PageMailr address like PageMailr.com/YOURUserName. The user can then insert the link to their PageMailr page into any of their online content, allowing others to contact them easily with a simple mouse click. PageMailr then forwards messages to their hidden email address. Because it is a page link and not an email address, PageMailr does not expose the address and spammers or web crawlers cannot harvest the link. This also means no one can send an email directly to the user's PageMailr page. This makes their PageMailr link immune from automated emails or spam thereby removing the need for spam filters and making email easier to use.

The greatest aspect about PageMailr is that its users have their own Page Mail page that anyone can access via a link to the PageMailr site. For someone to send you an email they go to your member's page and type the message there.

"I think of this PageMailr requirement as being analogous to your phone's voice mail," said Wingard. "Imagine if telemarketers could directly access your voice mail box without having to first dial you up and speak to you or wait for your voice mail machine and then speak into the machine. Instantaneous automated messages would clog your voice mail, just like your email. So why allow unfettered access to your email inbox?"

Initially PageMailr comes two ways, Basic Service and Standard Plus Service. Basic Service is free and includes your own PageMailr Page and username. The user can then personalize their page with a title, picture, and About Me section. Basic Service also includes options for additional access security and a search feature. The search feature is new to email. If someone wants to email you but cannot remember your address, they can search for your page mail page using information they do know about you like your phone number or name. Free user pages do not block advertising.

Standard Plus Service is $3.00 (USD) per month. Standard Plus Service is advertising-free. In addition to what the Basic Service offers, the Standard Plus Service also includes PageMailr Safe Reply Links to allow users the option to reply to contacts made to them through PageMailr without using and exposing their email address. In addition, Standard Plus Users have the ability to send PageMailr mail, which is handy when contacting someone via email but do not want to give away your email address.

PageMailr (www.PageMailr.com) is the creation of Pete Wingard in Atlanta Georgia. Mr. Wingard is a freelance website designer and PHP/MySQL developer working as PixelCast.Net.
