Irvine, CA (PRWEB) March 16, 2006 -- Womanology, a unique physical therapy clinic for women in Southern California has officially opened for business. Robin Christenson, Physical Therapist and Founder of Womanology has been successfully treating women with such conditions as; Painful Intercourse, Tailbone Pain, Pre or Post Natal Sciatica/ Low Back Pain, Breast Implant Adhesions, Post Gynecologic Surgery Scarring and/or Pain, Groin Pain, Urinary Urgency / Frequency / Incontinence, Vulvodynia, Vestibulitis, Interstitial Cystitis, and Vaginismus for the past four years. Robin recently opened the Womanology center based on the belief that it is imperative to communicate with practitioners, educate the public, and integrate multiple therapies in order to provide the most effective environment for healing. Women’s pelvic pain is often overlooked, ignored or incorrectly diagnosed. Womanology is meeting the needs of women all over Southern California that have tried everything else and don’t know where else to turn for relief from pain.

Womanology therapists have seen first hand the agony and frustration that women go through while looking for answers about their pelvic conditions. Womanology practitioners work closely with several prominent urologist, urogynecologists, gynecologists, and pain management physicians.

Due to the highly personal nature of treatments, a professional and caring relationship between the therapist and the client is essential to the process. One patient, asked to be identified only as Jennifer H, is a patient of Mrs. Christenson and states she can not believe the reduction in pain, as well as the emotional support she has received from Robin as she works through the treatment plan. Biofeedback, manual trigger point therapy, Pilates, relaxation techniques and massage have all contributed to Jennifer’s increased wellness. Jennifer has also commented on the warm and comforting atmosphere of Womanology. Many other patients that have asked to remain anonymous have echoed these sentiments.
