America’s “Cowboy Poet” Baxter Black and NPR Science Friday® host Ira Flatow are the headliners for Biowest 2006, along with the presentation, “Where Innovation Happens” from Federal Reserve Executive Michael Orlando.

The announcement is made by Denise Brown, Executive Director of the Colorado BioScience Association, who says Ira Flatow, the host of NPR Science Friday ( http://www.sciencefriday.com ) will keynote the luncheon on August 23 and will share the trials and tribulations of presenting science to the public. Baxter Black ( http://www.baxterblack.com ), also of NPR fame and noted cowboy, poet and humorist, will keynote the August 24 CBSA Annual Awards Dinner – tickets may be purchased on the BioWest website.
