SEO Wizard Revealed at PRWeb

PRWeb pulls back the curtain to reveal Search Engine Optimation Wizard. Social media connections enhanced with intelligent guide. Improved PR results follow.

Ferndale, WA (PRWEB) June 28, 2006 -- PRWeb, the leader in search engine optimized and direct-to-consumer social media press release distribution, today announced the beta launch of SEO Wizard, exposing a feature historically used by PRWeb’s editorial and optimization staff and now available to all users. The Wizard complements the many unique search engine optimization technologies already available to PRWeb members.

The SEO Wizard will guide members in structuring their press releases in a way that will give them optimal results within news and search engines. The idea of search engine optimization, or increasing a company's value in search engines by using specific keywords, has gained popularity in recent years. PRWeb's SEO Wizard quantifies keyword traffic, so users can focus on the keywords that are popular search terms and valuable to their PR and marketing campaigns.

"Our integrated media platform has leveraged this technology since day one, and now we’ve brought it forward to give our users full access to these powerful tools," said Al Castle, PRWeb's Chief Information Officer. "Many of the players in the PR industry claim to provide SEO innovations. On investigation, users often discover more buzzwords than real working technology solutions. Not here. We expect that providing our clients even more access to our SEO technology will guide them to even better performing PR."

I recently used PRWeb for the wire distribution of a press release about Oneupweb’s new podcast white paper, Consider Podcasting. (It went well, as expected; thank you for asking.) But today, I was able to use the beta version of PRWeb’s new Optimizing Wizard to review my release’s keywords and talk with one of their techs on how it works. I found it to be a good tool in general and thought I’d share my thoughts. So, we’re off to see the Wizard … (sorry I couldn’t help myself.) The Wizard provides you with PRWeb’s algorithm on keyword density. Now...

Optimising press releases for search engines from Public Relations India|Open Source PR on Jun 29, 2006   Preview Open
Why is the surge in internet search engines technologies so relevant to public relations? I think it is because these technologies and PR both are about information management. The difference might be that while search engines work for the information seeker, PR works for the information provider. So if you know how to utilise both strengths, you get a lethal combination.
