(PRWEB) September 27, 2006 -- As the existence of the UN Broadcast Treaty reveals, podcasting happens not only in the US, but also in countries such as China, France, Denmark, and India. On October 20-22, 2006, the International Podcast Directories will team up to host the International Podcasting Expo. Partners include Podcast Pickle, Podemus, Podlook and Podblog.dk.

With Apple seeking trademarks for podcast related words, and the UN proposing an International Broadcast Treaty, Podcasting has moved to the forefront of international news. What started as a simple grassroots social media late in 2004 has become the center of heated debate. Yet because it is a grassroots media, it is growing steadily all over the world.

In October 2005, ABC News reported about China's Podcast Revolution among it's 60 million internet users under the age of 24. According to China Web 2.0 Review, the first Chinese Podcast Directory, Jack Gu's Podlook, had 15,000 channels and over 35,000 podcast clips back in November 2005. Podlook is one of the international Podcast Directories that is spreading the news about Podcasting by partnering with the online International Podcasting Expo.
