The New White Wedding Flower (Hint: It's Pink!)

Wedding planning is no longer limited to traditional options. Today's brides strive to make a statement. One recent trends shows that pink is the new white for wedding flowers.

Ojai, CA (PRWEB) October 23, 2008 -- Over the last several years, brides have turned from the traditional large white arrangements to a sleeker, more colorful look. The hand-held bouquet surged in popularity, providing a simple yet modern design that featured one or two flowers of similar color tones. Bold colors such as hot pink, orange, and lavender were a fashionable choice for brides in search of non-traditional flowers. Sleeker designs and bolder colors became common wedding choices. These trends set the stage for pink to rise as the new white for wedding flowers and wedding gowns.

Liza Roeser-Atwood, founder and CEO of the online wedding flower shop FiftyFlowers.com explains the trends, "Colors show a bride's fun side while white flowers exude elegance and romance. But now they say pink could be the new white. It compliments all skin types and tones."
