Hair Transplant Surgeon to Hold Informative Webinar on Hair Loss

Hair loss webinar aims to discuss how hair transplants have changed in the past 15 years and explain various hair restoration options that are now available.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 29, 2009 -- Recent advancements in medicine and research have given those who suffer from hair loss an abundance of new and affordable treatment options. Robert M. Bernstein M.D., F.A.A.D. will be hosting an informative webinar on the topic of hair loss on February 10th. He will discuss the latest trends in hair transplant surgery and other options available to those who wish to do something about their hair loss. Dr. Bernstein is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University in New York and is a co-author of the definitive layman's book on hair restoration: Hair Loss & Replacement for Dummies.

The entire landscape for hair transplants was revolutionized in 1995 when Dr. Bernstein first conceived the concept of Follicular Unit Transplantation. He theorized that hair follicles which were transplanted in their naturally occurring groups (follicular units) would achieve more natural results in hair transplants. This information was published in Dr. Bernstein's paper, Follicular Transplantation. The paper was a milestone in the treatment of both men and women suffering from hair loss.
