Jackie Spencer-Morgan’s first husband was Dow Jones heir Hugh Bancroft Jr. Mrs. Spencer-Morgan’s fortune came from Bancroft, the grandson of Wall Street Journal founder and co-owner Charles Barron. Mrs. Spencer-Morgan used her money for various philanthropic causes, including the building of the $22 million Spencer Theater in Alto, New Mexico. Ron Morgan was involved in designing the interior décor of the Spencer Theater.
