Once Lost in Online Searches, Business Owners Can Now be Found by More Customers
New "List and Found" service helps businesses get found where it matters most, locally.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) September 13, 2006 -- Every second, an average of 634 local searches are completed, and an estimated 20 billion local searches will be made by the end of 2006.* Studies show that 60 percent of all purchases that begin with online research end at a local store offline. But with so many search options on the Internet, businesses often get lost in the process.
The new "List and Found" service (http://www.listandfound.com) launched this week provides a one-stop solution that gets businesses listed and found in a multitude of online search directories, including Google Local, Yahoo! Local, Yellowpages.com, Superpages.com, Switchboard, and more. A List and Found Profile provides a completely searchable local listing that includes information such as business description, brands offered, details on products and services, address, phone and fax, map, direction links, hours of operation, service area, and business logo.
In announcing the new service, Gary Remy, founder of List and Found, noted, "When someone performs an online local search, the two most critical factors in determining what shows up in the results are how close the business is to the searcher and whether there is a match on the keywords being searched upon. If a business owner doesn't have a profile with the right keywords listed, then they won't be found. We designed List and Found to provide businesses with an easy way to be found by people who are searching for local products and services, and to keep their profiles current in a wide variety of local online search engines and directories. Research has shown that people in the US spend 80 percent of their budgets within 50 miles of their homes. We created List and Found to give business owners a simple, turnkey way to compete with larger companies to capture their share of that spending."
